Serving in India

Benny Mathews and his family live in Madison Heights, Virginia. Benny serves as the Executive Director of Alpha Ministries of which his father, Cherian Mathews, founded. As of June 2008 Benny and his family traveled to India to serve so that his family could experience missions on the front line and see first hand the work being accomplished through Alpha Ministries. When not in India, Benny travels for the Ministry preaching and teaching at leadership conferences throughout Asia.

•Thanks to the Lord as souls have received salvation and been transformed in the unreached parts of Asia

•Thanks to the Lord for answered prayer as lives have been changed and brought to Christ as a result of humanitarian relief

•Thanks to the Lord for allowing the Gospel to be preached and the Ministry to continue in the face of anti-Christian and governmental opposition

Requests

•Pray for the persecuted Christians in India

•Pray for AWARE (Assisting Widows and Reaching the Elderly) programs. Pray more churches and funds are provided to adopt the destitute widows and elderly people of Asia

•Pray for the Ministry of Hope that provides a network of Christian homes in which to care for the orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected children of Asia

•Pray for the Medical Mission Team as they work with the Ministry to provide medical clinics and to evangelize in the remote villages of Asia

Support

•A gift of $5 per month will provide education for a needy child

•A gift of $10 can assist widows and the elderly in various capacities such as basic shelter, clothings, food and medical care

•A gift of $15 per month will provide nutrition for a needy child

•A gift of $25 per month can support a national man and woman as they attend a two-year program in Biblical Studies at the Bible Institute

•A gift of $30 can support a native pastor to attend a Bible training conference

•A gift of $35 can provide a family with supplemental food staples for a month
