Monday Nights 6:30 - 8:00 pm
(The Awana rooms will be opened for children to arrive at 6:15 pm. Children will not be permitted in the rooms before that time.)

The Awana Clubs at FBC is part of our effort to continually reach kids for Christ and train them to be intentional, maturing, servants of Jesus Christ. We have a great time learning Biblical principles, memorizing God's Word, and playing hard in our games to learn great sportsmanship and how to work with others.

We also get to have some crazy times of dressing up as Bible characters, building pinewood cars, and just plain being silly. All these activities are in an effort to ensure your child has a great time discovering the wonderful Truth of God's Word and allow them opportunities to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally and socially.

Purpose

The purpose of the Awana ministry is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ
and train them to serve Him.

Since 1950, AWANA has grown from a one-church program into a ministry that
includes more than 6,500 churches in the United States and another 1,300 in more
than 80 countries worldwide. Local churches reach hundreds of thousands of young
people every week by using the AWANA program. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys
and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him.

The AWANA ministry at Frisco Bible works in unison with the other ministries at Frisco
Bible to help your child learn about Jesus and to grow in Him.  Consequently, you will
see that your child can earn points for their team by being active in other children’s
ministries. This can also help them achieve in AWANA by assisting them in passing
some of the sections and activities in their handbook.

The word AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, and comes from
2 Timothy 2:15.  AWANA is a fun and exciting way for children to learn Scripture and it
works!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to acquaint you with the AWANA ministry of
Frisco Bible Church, and how it can benefit not only your child, but your entire family!

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”  2 Timothy 2:15
