Worship Ministry

Worship

Worship is an active response to God whereby we declare His worth.  Worship is not passive, but it is participative.  Worship is not simply a mood; it is a response.  Worship is not just a feeling; it is a declaration. (Allen/Borror Worship:  Rediscovering \the Missing Jewel, p.16.)

At Frisco Bible Church, all doctrine and practice is to be rooted in the Word of God.  Musical expression is no different.  Although our musical worship incorporates a blending of traditional hymns with contemporary arrangements, as well as classic and cutting edge praise songs, it is not at the lyrical  sacrifice of correct, Biblical context.

WORSHIP TEAM

When the worship team at Frisco Bible Church stands before God and the congregation, we are worshipping The Creator of the universe.  Having a sound, liturgical mind demonstrates understanding that what we are doing is the process of a worship service to THE Almighty God; one essence in three persons--Father, Son, and Spirit.  The objective is for the music to enhance, for every person and for the body as a whole, the focus on Him.

CHOIR

In addition to the worship team which ministers each week in the services, Frisco Bible also has a 20-30 voice choir that ministers to the body primarily at Easter and Christmas.  However, beginning in August '06, they will begin serving every other month, leading the congregation in worship.
