The leadership of Awana has been working to find a solution to make sure that clubbers do not get behind in their books while club does not meet. Here are the instructions:
1.Work with your child on the section like normal. Read the explanations of the verse and talk with them about what the verse means. Work with them to memorize the verse.
2. Video record your child saying their verse. We do not care about the quality of the video. The easiest way to do this is to record your child with your phone.
3. Email email@example.com. In the subject line of the email write your child's name, the club they attend (Cubbies, Sparks, T&T, Trek, Journey), and the section number they are reciting.
4. Attach the video to the email. Many phones can email from the actual video. Please make sure to include the clubbers name, club and section number in the subject line.
5. Send it. We will reply that we have received it.
Important things to note:
We will not be capping this experience. If your child is behind it is a great time to get caught up. If your child is on pace they can say their verses and stay on track. They can also get ahead. Please remember the point of Awana is not to finish a book per year. It is important for them to learn and understand the verses that are being taught. This is a great opprotunity, but please do not miss the opprtunity to write these verses on the heart of your children.
Awards will be handed out the 2nd week we return. If Awana resumes March 23rd, for instance, awards will not be handed out on March 23rd, awards would be handed out March 30th.
You do not need to sign the section off. If it helps you keep track feel free to do so. We will be keeping track of the verses via our Awana database Approved Workman.
If your child finishes their book during this time we will discuss individually with your family the next step. Awana has a set structure for each club that we must follow. We will look at your individual child and decide the plan according to the Awana structure.

Awana Clubs is part of our effort to continually reach kids for Christ and train them to be intentional, maturing, servants of Jesus Christ. We have a great time learning biblical principles, memorizing God's Word, and playing hard in our games to learn great sportsmanship and how to work with others.
We also get to have some crazy times of dressing up as Bible characters, building pinewood cars, and just plain being silly. All these activities are in an effort to ensure your child has a great time discovering the wonderful Truth of God's Word and allow them opportunities to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally and socially.
All children who participate in the AWANA ministry at Frisco Bible MUST have a completed
registration form (online or hardcopy) and Medical Release on file with the AWANA Club Director.
2019-20 Registration Fees:
Student Leader (Trek/Journey): $40
In addition, each clubber will need a uniform or a vest:
Puggles T-shirt $11 (optional)
Cubbies vest $12
Sparks vest $12
T&T uniform $16
Student Leader shirt $22
If your child does more than one handbook per club year, there will be an additional fee for the extra handbook.
There are also occasional events and activities which will have a cost associated with them. You will receive information about these activities throughout the year. Occasional Events include the AWANA Grand Prix, and Awana GO Reach More Kids (formerly Adopt-A-Club)
Please do not let finances stand in the way of your child participating in Awana. If there is a financial need, please let your child’s Awana leader, or the Awana Commander, know and we will work with you so your child may continue to participate in our Awana ministry.
